1. Product presentation

The Manual Low Idle Air Control System is a precision mechanical device designed to regulate idle air flow on electronically fuel-injected V-Twin.

The system allows direct mechanical control of the idle air circuit, independent of the ECU's regulation strategies. It acts as a variable air metering valve, allowing fine adjustment of the airflow admitted at idle.

The system's adjustment modifies the air passage section through the axial movement of a precision-machined regulating tip, enabling a stable, controlled and reproducible idle, while delivering the characteristic sound signature sought after on V-Twin engines.


2. System Architecture

The mechanical assembly is composed of the following main elements:

  1. Main body made of CNC-machined anodized aluminum
  2. Manual idle speed adjustment screw
  3. Precision notching indexing mechanism
  4. Stainless steel air dosing tip
  5. High-temperature O-ring sealing system
  6. CNC machined adjustment housing
  • Air flow adjustment is achieved by rotating the adjustment screw, which generates a controlled axial displacement of the metering tip in the idle air duct.

The indexing mechanism ensures:

4. Air dosing mechanism

The idle air flow regulation is achieved by a precision conical metering tip made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
